# Being your Centrelink nominee, and what we lodge

## As your nominee we deal with Centrelink for you, lodge what is needed and tell you every time.

As your Centrelink nominee, we can talk to Centrelink about your affairs and deal with them for you. It works much like your accountant and the ATO: once it's set up, Centrelink deals with us, so you don't have to. We handle the calls, the forms and the letters, and we tell you each time we lodge something.

### How it's set up

You fill in [our nominee form](https://form.jotform.com/262108456863058) once, during onboarding. It's linked in your welcome email; if you've missed it, use the link here. If someone else is already your nominee, the form ends that arrangement so ours can start. We lodge it, follow it up until Centrelink accepts it, then email to let you know.

Centrelink's letters may show our nominee organisation under its registered name, Pension Experts. That's us.

### What we lodge for you

- A claim, such as for the Age Pension or the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
- For aged care, the income and assets assessment, usually once the home is chosen
- Updates to your income and assets, such as after your advice is put in place or the family home is sold
- Replies when Centrelink asks for more information

You don't need to sign these. Before we lodge, we compare what Centrelink holds with your fact find. If an update would reduce or stop a payment, we tell you first.

### How we let you know

- An email each time we lodge, saying what we lodged and when
- The outcome as soon as Centrelink replies, with what it means for you
- For aged care, the assessment goes to the home too, with a copy to you

### What we need from you

- Tell us when something changes: money coming in or going out, a property, who lives with you, or your health.
- Forward any Centrelink letter you receive. A photo by text is fine.

### When it ends

While you're on ongoing service, we keep looking after Centrelink for you. When a Concierge ends, the nominee role comes back to you, or to someone you choose, unless you go on to ongoing service, Foundations or Centrelink care.
