# How we manage your investments

## Your investments in one place, in our model portfolio, watched all year and rebalanced on a steady rhythm.

On ongoing service, your investments sit on the platform recommended in your advice, in our model portfolio, and we look after them all year. There's nothing you need to do.

### Your platform and your model

Everything is held in your name, with one login to see it all. Your model uses the same approved building blocks as everyone's, with the mix of growth and defensive assets set for you. See [Our investment philosophy](https://portal.primeyears.com.au/help/our-investment-philosophy?hsLang=en-au).

### The rhythm of the year

- **Every quarter:** we check your portfolio against your model and rebalance if it has drifted: in January, after your April or May review, in July and in October.
- **After a sharp market fall:** we check again, and rebalance where needed.
- **Each pension payment:** drawn from cash first, then defensive assets, then growth.
- **Each July:** we check the new super and Centrelink thresholds, and tell you if anything affects you.
- **All year:** each fund watched against its job, and withdrawals arranged when you need money. If we replace a fund, we tell you why.

### What you see, and when

- **Any time:** your accounts online.
- **During Set Up:** an email as each account opens, then a note of what we put in place.
- **A week before your April or May review:** your review pack, with your portfolio, when it was rebalanced, your income for the year ahead and the platform's annual report.

### Foundations

Lighter ongoing care for the investments we manage: monitored through the year, and rebalanced at your April or May review if the mix has drifted beyond set limits.

### The Concierge

Your advice may put a product such as an annuity in place, or set up investments on the recommended platform. If we manage investments for you, your month 11 review covers how they're looked after from there.
