# The fact find session: what to expect

## A 30-minute session to check the fact find we start for you and fill any gaps together.

The fact find session is a 30-minute call with our client services team to check your fact find and fill any gaps. You don't start from a blank page: we fill in what we already know first.

### What the fact find is

It's the full picture of your finances: super and pensions, bank accounts, investments, property, debts, income and spending, Centrelink, your will and powers of attorney, and your goals. Everything we recommend is built on it, so the more complete it is, the better your advice.

### Before the session

- We start it for you from your "Before we meet" questionnaire and your initial meeting.
- The link to it comes in your welcome email. Fill in what you can, and skip anything you're not sure about.
- Yellow highlights show where we need your input.
- It includes a short questionnaire about your comfort with investment risk. It takes about five minutes.

### In the session

We go through it together by video or phone, usually within your first two weeks. It helps to have your documents nearby, and your internet banking and super websites ready to log in to, so we can find what we need together. If you're helping a parent as their attorney, you can do the session for them.

### After the session

Anything still missing goes on a short list, and we follow it up. You only give us each thing once: every form we fill in later comes from your fact find.
