# The Family Money Review

## For the family after a parent has passed away: an hour with your adviser, so what they built is looked after.

When a parent passes away, the family often ends up with the largest sum of money it will ever handle, at the hardest possible time. We see it too often: an inheritance that's gone within a few years, spent, scattered across accounts or simply never planned for.

The Family Money Review is how we help make sure that doesn't happen. It's the fourth kind of initial meeting, and it comes at the end of our work with a family rather than the start.

### Who it's for

The children and attorneys of the people we look after. Often it's someone we've already worked with through aged care, so we know the family and you know us.

### What it covers

- What's coming to you, and roughly when, as the estate is settled
- Your own retirement, super and Centrelink, with the inheritance in the picture
- What needs doing first, and what can wait
- How to make it last

### How it works

It's an hour with your adviser by Zoom, like any initial meeting, and it starts with the same 15-minute call. Beforehand, we send our "Before we meet" questionnaire, so your adviser comes prepared. Nothing is signed in the meeting.

### What it costs

There's no charge. It's part of how we look after the families we work with.

### When it happens

We'll offer it when the time is right, often at the end of a Concierge or after a parent has passed away. There's no rush, and you don't need to wait for us: text us when you're ready, and we'll book it in.
