# Your estate plan: working with your solicitor

## We don't draft wills, but we look after the financial side of your estate plan and keep your solicitor in the loop.

Your solicitor looks after your will and other legal documents. We look after the financial side of your estate plan, and work with your solicitor so the two line up.

### What we don't do

We don't draft wills, powers of attorney or other legal documents, or give legal advice. If you don't have a solicitor, we can recommend one. We don't pay or receive referral fees.

### What we coordinate

- **Beneficiary nominations:** who receives your super and pension if you die. Your super doesn't automatically follow your will, so these matter. We review them, lodge new ones where your advice recommends it, and track when any need renewing.
- **Your solicitor, kept informed:** your letter of authority lets us ask for copies of your will and powers of attorney, and tell your solicitor what we've put in place.

- **Everything lined up:** your will, powers of attorney and nominations checked against each other.

### Tell us when something changes

- A marriage, separation or death in the family
- A new will or power of attorney
- A new grandchild, or a change in who you'd like to provide for
- A change in health, or going into aged care

We'll work out with your solicitor what needs updating.

### Ongoing service and the Concierge

On ongoing service, we check your will, powers of attorney and nominations at every April or May review. Comprehensive goes further, for example on testamentary trusts. For the Concierge, nominations in your advice are put in place with everything else, and the Comprehensive Concierge reviews wills, powers of attorney and nominations.
