# Your information and privacy

## What we collect and why, who sees it, and how to keep your details safe when dealing with us.

We collect personal and financial information to give you advice and to meet our legal obligations. Here's what that means in practice, and how to keep your details safe.

### What we collect, and why

- **To advise you:** your goals, income, assets, super, Centrelink details, family and, where it affects your plans, your health. Advice is only as good as the facts behind it.
- **Because the law requires it:** certified ID for everyone who signs, and the identity checks that anti-money laundering law requires.
- **Meeting recordings,** so our notes are accurate. We send you the recordings of your initial meeting and your advice presentation meeting.

### How your documents reach us

### Who sees it

- Our team
- The institutions and professionals you authorise us to deal with, such as your funds, banks, Centrelink, accountant, solicitor, or aged care home or village
- Service providers who help us deliver our services, including some overseas

Our Privacy Policy has the full detail. Ask us, and we'll send you a copy.

### What we never ask for by text or email

Your tax file number, card numbers or full bank account numbers. If we need them, we tell you the safe way to send them.

### If our bank details seem to change

If an email or text says our bank details have changed, text us on 0489 274 766 before you pay anything. Do the same if a DocuSign email arrives that you weren't expecting.
